Harold Troper is a professor of history in the Department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning at the University of Toronto. His other award-winning books include Immigrants: A Portrait of the Urban Experience, None Is Too Many: Canada and the Jews of Europe, 1933-1948 and The Defining Decade: Identity, Politics and the Canadian Jewish Community in the 1960s. He is currently completing a book with Richard Menkis (UBC) on Canadian participation in the 1936 Nazi Olympics.
